Enjoy an unforgettable Active Wine Adventure in Napa or Sonoma Wine Country! On this private tour, we pick you up by SUV at your lodging in Napa Valley or Sonoma Valley and guide you on an energizing hike in a wilderness area. Enjoy fresh air and a great workout. See amazing views of valleys, mountains and vineyards. After the hike and lunch, we take you to a small-production winery to enjoy a private tasting of artisanal Napa Valley or Sonoma Valley wines.
We offer four different Hike & Wine Tours in Napa, and four different tours in Sonoma. Each tour features a private guided hike, a private wine tasting, and a midday lunch stop at a local restaurant (or on some tours a picnic lunch). The focus is on smaller-production wineries (many are family-owned) to offer you a fun, authentic taste of what makes this beautiful area special.
Our local owner (a long-time resident) serves as your guide, driver and hike leader, and during the day’s experience will share his knowledge and insights of the local area, its geography, wineries/vineyards, hiking trails and backcountry, flora and fauna, history and more!
We handle all logistics – planning and way-finding, winery and lunch reservations and transportation – so you can relax and enjoy! We also offer bottled waters, a trail snack, trekking poles for your use and complimentary portrait photography (with digital SLR 35-mm camera). Price listed does not include: gratuity & fuel fee, wine tasting fee, or lunch.
Simply reserve the date (and choose Napa or Sonoma) now ~ you can select a specific Hike & Wine Tour later. (If your lodging/pickup location is in Napa Valley, we suggest a Napa tour. If your lodging/pickup location is in Sonoma, we suggest a Sonoma tour). We’ll email you a description of each available option.
Each tour features a different small-production winery, and a different guided hike ~ ranging from easy to moderate-plus (most are moderate hikes, average about 5 miles, 2.5 hours of hiking time). Total duration of the tour (including round-trip transportation, guided hike, lunch and wine tasting) is approx. 6.25 hours; this may vary depending on the tour and your pickup location. Locations range throughout Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley and include: hikes through shaded redwood forests, or rolling hills of oak woodlands, or rugged mountainous areas with panoramic views.
